Bacon on a Cat

I put taping bacon to the cat on a list of things I said I was going to do today and people seemed to be skeptical.

We Feel Fine

Since August 2005, We Feel Fine has been harvesting human feelings from a large number of weblogs. Every few minutes, the system searches the world's newly posted blog entries for occurrences of the phrases "I feel" and "I am feeling". When it finds such a phrase, it records the full sentence, up to the period, and identifies the "feeling" expressed in that sentence (e.g. sad, happy, depressed, etc.). Because blogs are structured in largely standard ways, the age, gender, and geographical location of the author can often be extracted and saved along with the sentence, as can the local weather conditions at the time the sentence was written. All of this information is saved.

Devin is 4!!!!

Yes, i put this on the calendar, but I have to tell the world, my little guy is 4!!! I can't believe time has flown so fast, but wouldn't want it any other way. He's getting huge, learning curve is quickly going spacebound, and he's cuter than ever! But that's my opinion, eh? Anyway, happy b-day to the apple of my eye, the fruit of my loins, and the wiper of my booty when i get old & decrepit!

MySpace Stupid Haircuts

d00d, you rawk, lolbbq

MySpace seems to me to be a place for the few advanced AOL users who just couldn't get the hang of GeoCities, because they'd never heard of Blogger. Or maybe it's just me. Maybe it's just a very convenient way to do some great, interactive things without mucking about with learning teh intranets.
Ha, nonetheless..

A drawing a day project

A personal project by a guy name David Gauntlett for the sole purpose of getting better at drawing. Sparing any judgement on the quallity of the actual drawings- it is pretty cool to have a completely drawn website, and I do respect the discipline and passion for his craft.

I'm sure by now most everyone's seen this (the perv busted on the train), but here's another beautiful example of someone doing something stupid, and thanks to technology, probably seriously wishing they hadn't... Bad Grin

The Pancake Bunny

oolong

This picture has always made me laugh, but I was just reading a comment thread on another site and saw this, which truly cracked me up. I did a little searching and found out a whole lot more than I expected to.*
As it turns out, the rabbit's name was Oolong, and he was a very special bunny. Sadly, he died in January of 2003.

*less than an hour later, I happened across this, entirely coincidentally. Weird.
